DURING THE MOVE
• Point out all fragile items to the movers.
• Check all cabinets, closets, and drawers one last time for missed
items.
• Make sure all your utilities are off. Shut off the water, air conditioner,
furnace, and all lights. Are all windows and doors shut and locked?
• Be at your new residence for delivery by the movers.
• Check your household goods off of your inventory list as they are
unloaded. If there is a change in the condition or missing items,
note the discrepancy on the delivery team's inventory sheet.
• Place a floor plan near the entrance of your home. This will help the
movers determine where each box or piece of furniture should be
placed.
